Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data YoHU.io ("we") processes when you visit the site, play games or create an account, and the rights you have. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK).

Data we collect

• Anonymous visitor ID. A random identifier stored in a cookie so your favorites, recently played games, ratings and scores work without an account.
• Gameplay data. Which games you open, the scores you submit, your favorites, likes, star ratings and reviews.
• Account data (only if you sign up): username, email address, a securely hashed password, an optional bio and the date you joined.
• Messages you send through the contact, report or game submission forms, including the email you give us.
• Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, kept in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

Why we use it

• To run the service: remember your shelf, show leaderboards, keep you logged in (performance of a contract / legitimate interest).
• To keep the site safe: rate limiting, spam and abuse prevention (legitimate interest).
• To answer your messages and reports (legitimate interest).
• To show advertising and measure traffic, only with your consent where the law requires it (consent).

Advertising and third parties

Ads may be provided by partners such as Google AdSense, which can use cookies to show relevant ads and measure performance. You choose "Accept all" or "Essential only" in the cookie banner; with "Essential only" we ask partners to serve non-personalised ads. Some games are hosted by their developers and may set their own cookies inside the game frame.

What is public

Your username, avatar letter, bio, leaderboard scores, best scores and written reviews are visible to everyone. Your email address is never shown.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Anonymous visitor data that has not been used for 24 months is deleted automatically, and messages are deleted after two years. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited time, usually up to 90 days.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data, object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. You can delete your account yourself from Account settings, which removes your favorites, history, scores and reviews. For any other request, write to hello@yohu.io. Under KVKK Article 11 you may also apply to the data controller with the requests listed in that article, and you have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The games are suitable for a general audience. Accounts are intended for users aged 13 and over; younger players can play without an account.

Security

Passwords are stored with a one-way hash, connections should use HTTPS, and access to the admin panel is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, show a notice on the site.
